skyline

Looking up at the skyline floating idly above, the 80 story glass skyscrapers glint in the evening sun as they stretch down from the ground over head. Sitting softly on a bench along the sand scattered boardwalk, he watched a flock of birds fly up to roost on the bottom roof of a building, nestling under the ornate ledge running along the circumference. The sun sat just above the horizon warped by the wavy air, it's deep amber light reflected off the tossing waves and cast a orange haze up at the streets and buildings above - the meandering yellow mixing with the stark caustic white streaming from the street lamps.
